What can I expect in the first session?

In the first session, we will discuss your concerns, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. This is also an opportunity for us to determine whether I am the right fit for your needs. We will explore your history and background, and I will outline how we might work together to address your goals.

What if I need to cancel?

As consistency is integral to the therapeutic process, my cancellation policy requires you to provide at least 24 hours' notice if an appointment needs to be cancelled or rearranged. If less than 24 hours notice

is given, you will be charged for the full session, as the slot could otherwise be offered to another client with sufficient notice. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and shorter notice periods can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

How long are the sessions, and how often do they take place?

Sessions typically last 50 minutes and are usually held once a week. However, depending on your needs and availability, we can discuss a schedule that works best for you.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, everything discussed in therapy is confidential. However, there are rare exceptions, such as if I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or others. In these cases, I am legally obligated to break confidentiality, but I would always aim to discuss this with you first.
